Basis is looking to appoint a Group Facilitator who can provide appropriate emotional and practical support to women in the sex industry and/or those who are being sexually exploited through group support sessions. The women we support all experience stigma; some may also have (recent or current) experience of poor mental and physical health, substance abuse, homelessness and sexual or other forms of abuse and/or substance abuse). You will be responsible for facilitating themed groups focusing on practical and emotional support as well as developing peer support and influencing mechanisms working in partnership with other partners in Leeds.
We are looking for someone who understands how trauma affects people and is able to offer a trauma – informed response, is respectful in engagement with clients, colleagues, and with partner agencies and understands the vital importance of trusting relationships. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing fundraising activities across a broad suite of avenues including community, events, mosques, and local business partnerships. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Bradford.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have proven experience of developing fundraising strategies and delivering to large income targets. You will have demonstrative experience in fundraising and donor relations in the charity sector and be experienced in leading and managing fundraising campaigns/activities. You will be a confident communicator who possesses strong written and verbal communication skills including grant writing and public speaking. Proven leadership and team management experience and familiarity with fundraising software and CRM systems is essential for the role. In addition to the technical skills, you will be a personable candidate who has strong team working skills and creative problem-solving skills. You will also be able to demonstrate a strong alignment to the organisation’s values and knowledge of the Muslim fundraising space would be a bonus as you will also be involved in mosque appeals and collections.

Key duties:
· Recruiting, training and providing ongoing support to volunteers
· Working with the children and young people to assess their service requirements
· Working with stakeholders to raise awareness and recognise and identify care leavers and young people in need of the Independent Visitors and Care Leavers service
